tuition & financial aid

Each member in the LYO Program is responsible for payment of all tuition and fees. We accept cash, check and card payments.

Tuition is $350 (Covers Fall and Spring semesters) and is due either on or before the Fall Workshop | More info about tuition payment coming soon.
Registration Fee is $30 before May 9, $40 after May 9 | More info about the registration fee and payment options is available on the auditions page.

Felipe madrid memorial scholarship

Felipe Marcelo Madrid (June 10, 2004 - October 26, 2022)

On October 26th, 2022, the LYO family tragically lost two of its members: Angelica Vasquez and Felipe Madrid. Angelica was a Prelude Orchestra Manager and Felipe was a senior trumpet player for the Symphony Orchestra.

Angelica was incredibly kind and a joy to work with. Felipe was sweet, funny, and remarkably talented. On October 25th, 2022, Felipe sent an email to LYO expressing an interest in joining Lubbock Symphony. We know he would have been successful in achieving that goal.

We are truly grateful to have had Felipe and Angelica as a part of our LYO family. The scholarship in Felipe's name honors his legacy by supporting students who embody the same dedication to musicianship that he had.
